artist statement
In a modern world driven by technology, digital devices, and automation, art born from the heart makes more sense than ever. Humanity frequently brings harm and ugliness into the world—which is precisely why I choose to create reflectively, intentionally, and beautifully. I paint to channel positive energy through the deliberate use of light and color. In order to bring goodness into the world, I believe one must first surround oneself with beauty.
My work stands in direct contrast to modern mass production and its relentless mantra: "more, faster, cheaper." Instead, every piece is crafted using time-honored oil painting techniques, employing my personal glazing method on custom, handmade supports. I choose heavy, 500 g/m² linen canvases stretched over deep wooden frames, meticulously sizing them with traditional animal and rabbit-skin glues prior to priming. To finish, I apply a flawless matte varnish that leaves no brush marks, purely enhancing the depth, intensity, and translucent layers of the color. Combining rigorous craftsmanship with fine art aesthetics, these paintings seamlessly find their place on the walls of collectors and investors, often requiring no frames at all.
